Calgary 9-1-1 recognizes young heroes

We’re very excited to be able to honor a number of young people and thank them for their appropriate use of 9-1-1 in someone’s time of need the people who work in Emergency Services are often referred to as “First Responders” and we call the men and women who answer the 9-1-1 phone call, “the first, of the First Responders” those that come to your location when you need emergency help the people we often don’t recognize enough are those brave people who are actually at home or at an emergency location when something bad happens so in a sense, all of our heroes here today are also First Responders you were the first person to see someone who needed help the friend of family member or even a stranger that you called 9-1-1 for was probably having the worst day of their life and you served as the link between them and the help that they needed you knew what the most important thing to do was: and that was to call 9-1-1 to get help and in our books that makes you a hero just like our Calgary 9-1-1 call takers, police officers, firefighters and paramedics who came to help.
